Day 301 This is why autumn is called fall!

Autumn = Fall

This is the look our car park at work will be wearing for the next few weeks. Similar to our garden, which has brown and red leaves, such a beautiful burnished bright red, I will try and make autumn leaves from the garden a daily pic soon.

My head it mostly OK now, it was a bit squirly still this morning, breakfast of seeded toast wasn't quite enough but the Double Decker proved to be an excellent remedy. Finished work early because the Internet went down not long after 3pm, a major fault occurring on the part of our ISP with no word on the how & when. Not a lot I can do without the Internet, so once I'd done that, drunk some coffee and played a game of Scrabble, I came home. And I have a day off tomorrow, which will probably be spent in town rather than Birmingham.

Blood Donation Day

Day 300 Today was our third blood donation day at work. This is the blood & transplant service logo, as seen on their correspondence, as in my envelope:

Blood Donation Day

As Wednesday is my ezine day I opted for an afternoon appointment, and I arrived at the end of a backlog, which cleared by the time I was donating after a few people couldn't donate. Despite all the spinach loading I think my iron levels were lower this time, maybe because I donated in the afternoon, or because my period ended earlier this week. Anyway, it all went well but I felt it more this time, my head was a bit squirlier for longer so I spent the rest of the afternoon eating biscuits.

Be Nice To Me....

Day 147...I gave blood today. This was taken just after I got back to my desk:

I Just Donated Blood

The bloodmobile came to us again at work. Not sure how many people donated, it's close to holiday time so lots of people were away. One guy was rejected cos he's one day short of his six-month moratorium following a visit to Thailand - but the bloodmobile is back at another place on the business park next week so he's going then. I was done within half an hour - didn't have to wait, when the did the iron test my droplet of blood sunk like a stone so obviously it was worth eating all that spinach :)

According to the little leaflet that came with my form I get a keyring with my blood group on it next time. And you might have seen me tweet about blood donation today - look for the hashtag #giveblood and you'll see several from me there.
