Day 329 This is our poinsettia plant, by day it lives on the kitchen windowsill and at night it lives in the cupboard under the stairs, as we've been told this is how the red leaves will develop - you can see they are beginning to do so:

Poinsettia

I like poinsettias up to the point where they start to smell, but mostly they don't get that far in our house. And I prefer red to pink.

Day 208 I had planned to show you my new sandals in this slot today, but given the vigour with which the local bird population is demolishing the berries on the bush in the garden, I thought I'd better show you some of the berries while there's still some to show:

Blue Tree Berries

I thought the light was really good, it was much brighter than I thought it would be. Maybe I'll show you my new sandals tomorrow.

Am working my way through the Two Years To Go coverage. There's footage on the BBC of Chris Hoy cycling round the (temporary-marked) velodrome track - followed by London's Village Idiot Boris Johnson, who looks like he's learned to rid a bicycle specially for the occasion. What's really shameful for him is that he's been a regular cyclist for years.

OMG have you ever seen anything like this before? I haven't - it's a very pale moth, cream-coloured. Like it's albino or made of lace or something. It just fluttered into the bathroom while I was in there, like every moth in the Midlands does, our bathroom is like Studio 54 or the Hacienda or Manumission to them.

Pale Moth

And my Frasier fest continues, I'm now almost at the end cos ten episodes tonight puts me about half-way through the final season. I just saw the one where the KACL staff (ie Frasier, Roz, Kenny, Gil, Bulldog and Noel) compete in a weight-loss contest against another radio station team. I like the KACL ensemble episodes best, Bulldog is my favourite. I should watch his House episode again soon.
