Just watched the Charlie & the Chocolate Factory DVD I bought last week. Fab film :) Johnny Depp is cool & awesome but is totally acted off the screen by Liz Smith.

Johnny Depp's performances are often worth watching, aren't they? I remember Jack Davenport remarking of him that he'd "never made a boring film". I'm intrigued by the thought of him being acted off the screen by Liz Smith! I might look out for the DVD the next time I go to the library and maybe the book too (I read quite a few of them but never that one).
