Day 314 Here is our most significant set of Tupperware, bought by Mum & Dad in 197-something (or possibly late 1960s) - we still use these on a daily basis:

There's also a blue one, which my sister now has. When we were small, blue was her colour and pink was mine. I got fed up of always having the same colour, so I started using other colours, but she was devoted to the blue and wouldn't let anyone else have the blue dish. Mum & Dad also had two sets of drinks beakers (1 small, 1 large) with lids - the dishes also have lids, notoriously difficult to get on - and we used the pink & blue each of those too. The large beakers were often taken on holiday, including to my relatives in Cornwall, where more than one of them fell victim to the dogs' longing for a chew toy at any cost (as did my mother's wellies one year).
I've never seen the rainbow set appear elsewhere in Tupperware, it must have been a fashion of the time, either someone with psychedelic influences decided it was a good idea, or it was influenced by the arrival of colour television.
