New Connection
My wireless router died last night. So I had to get another at lunchtime. Far from the simple setup it promised, it took an hour on the phone with the woman at the helpline to get it working.
But it works now. Please keep your fingers crossed (as I am) that it stays working, cos no Internet = no fun.
And it's QI tonight, right? All the "excitement" of routers and snow days I've barely given it a thought :)

I love how they always say it'll be so easy and it ends up being an assembling nightmare.

I changed my layout after Christmas, I had one of the Christmas designs so it needed a change. This one is one I quite liked and nearly had a few other times, so I went with this straight away. I thought it was nice & cheery.

Seriously, now that we have our wireless thing, I go all wonky and ballistic if it acts up for like two seconds. Pathetic addict that I am.

And thankfully this one is properly secured! The original one was set up in early 2005 when no-one talked about securing them. But the woman on the helpdesk talked me through absolutely everything, which was good cos it took a while for the laptop to connect properly. Touch wood & fingers crossed it's all OK now.
