I found my long-lost taste for board games & stuff.

I re-downloaded Quicksnooker last weekend - then I found the old backup from my dead external drive. Luckily the old key works on this one. I've loved snooker & pool computer games ever since I had Super Pool on my Acorn Electron in 1985.

I also found the backup for Monopoly - lucky as it doesn't seem to be available any more - it was a paid-for game, it seems to be working fine even though it's on my new external drive. As it's a game for six players, it's fun to see who the money-grabber is among the PPTH staff:

I'm just resuming this one. Wonder if Foreman's going to hang onto his wealth?

Foreman did win, despite a hearty challenge from Wilson - who saw his empire tumble. Chase was 3rd, I lost count of how many times he got sent to jail :)

does it take forever to play monopoly online as well? that was one of the worst things about playing it on a board, it takes too damn long to finish

The three versions I now have (yes! Monopoly-crazed!) let you save a game part-way through and reload it later, so it's not such an issue. And the other two I have (Monopoly 3 and Monopoly Here & Now) let you customise the rules and play shortened games (eg dealing out a fixed number of properties to each player at the start, saving on several trips round the board).
