First Day Cover: Christmas 1976 - English Medieval Embroidery, issued 24 November 1976. I use Webshots for my screensaver and to rotate my wallpaper, and earlier this year I found tons of large images online of British first day covers, many of which I remembered from my childhood philately. I remember some of these stamps turning up in various general collections of British stamps, but it was unusual to be able to gather a complete set as the higher value stamps were always much more scarce. Usually there were eight collections of stamps issued in a year, and there would always be a Christmas set. I still have the small collection of first day covers I had bought for me, I think they're in my keepsake tin along with a few select letters. I added many of these images of first day covers to my Tumblr, you can see them here.
Uploading that image to Photobucket, I was surprised I hadn't added a widescreen image before. I've had this laptop for over three years now.
