tourmalineI know, I've been very remiss. Hardly anything about the Commonwealth Games. I've not seen much of it on TV, although I have been catching up several times daily via the BBC Homepage.
It's not unexpected. Australia are way out in the lead on the medals table, something to do with all that sunshine and daylight during the day which means they can go off and do their sport and give rise to a nation of sporting medallists. England are now second, having overtaking hosts India. Scotland and Canada are also in the top ten, with New Zealand, Wales and Northern Ireland just outside the top ten. Today, Tom Daley won his second gold, beating the Australian guy who won the Olympic Gold. And there are reports of snakes at the athletes' village.
