Lunchtime Yoga
Friday, July 9th, 2010 06:59 pmDay 190 This is my yoga mat, all put away neatly and leaning against my desk after our first lunchtime yoga session at work.

It was really good, just simple balancing & posture stuff today as an introductory session. I'd signed up for this current six-week block originally, but now I've put my name down for the rest up until the end of the year. It was good that there were other people I know in the class - the only person I didn't know is the new woman in customer services, but some of the others know her so that's OK. But it was really fab how we were all excited about it, there were five of us from my team and we all had our yoga mats at the ready, mine was the only one in a bag but another team member had her brand new five-year-old mat (ie it's been languishing in a cupboard all this time) in our exact corporate colour which she swears is a coincidence.
We've been told to expect it to get more difficult from next week. The class is a mix of yoga and pilates, and the pilates stuff will kick in more from next week. Whatever my abilities prove to be I hope it will continue to be fun.
