Day 3 - having ordered a DVD/VHS combi with hard drive and everything, I thought cataloguing all my videocassettes would be a good idea to get a picture of all I've got. My parents got their first video in 1983, and I've got stuff going back to at least 1987. I won't transfer all of it, but there's lots of stuff I haven't seen for a while, and lots of hidden gems such as Stephen Fry interviews (most of my Hugh Laurie stuff went on a tape, in those pre-YouTube days, to Marykir, so am not expecting anything new there) and little one-off programmes like an edited programme of Martin Clunes' reports from San Francisco and Hawaii for the Holiday programme, and stuff from Rowan Atkinson on cars and comedy. Most of my tapes are in cupboards and file boxes and storage like this:

There's a lot to sort, so once I can get to converting it will probably take me to the end of the year at least. But it will be worth the effort.
