The Last Rose

I've skipped a few days, I know. I had physics coursework to complete, plus I got into a bit of a fluster about it, as I only got 58% for my previous coursework on geosciences, which is one of my favourite areas of science. Have now started on chemistry, which looks interesting but there's lots to get your head around. Hope I can get my head around it, some of it looks like a different language.

But on to the pic. Just took this one, I was looking in the garden for something to photograph and we have one tiny rose still surviving.

If you click on the pic and look at the full size photo on Flickr, you can see all the different textural colours on the petals. I love roses.

Look Up To The Sky

Another from Project 365 (if I can skip a few days, I can post twice in one day). I looked out the window to see the sunset glow, and there was Venus, bright and high in the sky:

It was actually brighter and lighter for real than the photo shows. Then I thought "Hmm, wonder what time the ISS is due to pass?" and looking up at the moon, which is at first quarter and pretty high at the time, I saw the ISS orbiting past! Awesome. Then a few minutes after it had disppeared, Jupiter was visible close to Venus, but unfortunately it's too faint now to show up on camera.
