I am working my way through my latest DVD Box Set - of Upstairs, Downstairs. I bought it having largely read about it - I only remember fragments of the show from when all the episodes were screened on Channel 4 in the early 1980s. I've read about it too online, mostly from http://www.updown.org.uk - but spending £40 or whatever it was on this was always going to be a bit of a gamble. But it was money well spent, I'm really enjoying the series. I'm about to start series 3, which covers the Titanic and through to the outbreak of War. What's odd about the DVD presentation is that it has the London Weekend Television idents at the beginning of every episode, which I've seen on sites like http://www.tv-ark.org.uk but it's still a bit odd to see them on a real TV these days.
