Techie stuff is happening - or not happening, as is more appropriately the case.

For some mad reason I told my sister my Twitter account name. This happened a few weeks ago when she & her partner were showing off their new iPhones and I asked them what Twitter app they used. "OMG we don't do Twitter" they chorused, "We're Facebook people." But now she has a Twitter account and is following me (but I don't know how intently), and has posted precisely one tweet.

I've also been barred from an individual's twitterfeed. I was following because I was on the trackdown for people to follow at the beginning of the year, and said person used their real name in the profile, for what appears to be their personal account - although they have yet to post, all these months on - rather than an "official" feed, which I guess was what I had in mind. No official feed seems to have materialised, and said person has kicked off all three of us who aren't their showbiz buddies or similar. Which is (a) understandable, but (b) is still a tad deflating.

My Paint Shop Pro now refuses to load for some odd reason. Photoshop Elements also refuses to load directly, but works if you go via the organiser and then choose a pic to edit. I've set things up so that my main 8bf filters (ie the new stuff and paid-for stuff) can be accessed from Elements, and everything can be accessed from IrfanView. The problem with IrfanView is that everything is chucked in one big basket, so you can't sort. But if I use that as a kind-of Pot Luck for all the little odd filters I backed up ages ago and aren't as useful as the main ones, it's easier to play about and hopefully discover some good stuff amongst the semi-pointless. All the other general ajdustables (saturation, contrast etc) can still be fiddled with without PSP, it's just less convenient. I have the CD for PSP, if it continues not to work I can try reinstalling it.

I'd like to be more involved in the current shuttle mission, but they've been on a time zone shared by no-one on Earth, apparently. I've been getting home from work in time for their wake-up, which as per routine is followed by a couple of hours of Post-Sleep, ie "personal time" (a shit, a shower, and breakfast, in my father's vernacular). Now all the EVAs are over and they're heading towards hatch closure and undocking before landing at the end of the week.
