Snow Day

The snow is falling and falling, schools closed at lunchtime and all the neighbourhood kids are out in the snow. Meanwhile I have been working from home, doing an update to our online toolkit from a document where the author decided not to bother with tracking changes. I've done what I can for now, will have to be in the office to upload the associated documents. I had a bit of a panic earlier this morning - I'm OK for food, toiletries etc, but what if something happened to my laptop? Thankfully I was able to sort my Macbook out a bit more so I could use it to work from home or play lots of movies.

We have had snowy & cold weather all week, which necessitated changes to my Sainsburys routine, but today is the major snowfall event. More is forecast for Monday, but presently it's not forecast to be as heavy as today. It might still be icy though, so driving might be an issue, although looking onto our main road today it's not too bad. Thing is, our main road is flat and fairly wide, many of the roads on my way to work aren't. And the buses are running a basic service, which gets as close as two miles from its usual nearest point to me. Thankfully it's due to ease somewhat by the middle of next week, still cold but will see how things go - I don't mind the cold, it's ice on the roads I don't want.
