Delightful Dawlish

The train from Birmingham New Street down to Cornwall (end of the line: Penzance) goes through Dawlish. I went there once - one of those endearingly dotty English seaside towns that a lot of the local population have retired to. The stream has black swans, and lots of ladies about the town have those little yappy dogs with their hair clipped back out of their eyes with a kiddie's plastic hairslide (well, they did in 1987).
