Farewell to Smash Hits

Aaah...OK, it must be at least fifteen years since I last saw a copy, but it's the end of an era nonetheless. Having begun my readership in the summer of 1984 with the Neil-from-The-Young-Ones issue and faded out sometime when Kylie 'n' Jason went together like fish 'n' chips, to be replaced for a time with Q magazine.

The whole British media is now mourning the departure of Smash Hits, although its radio station is continuing. Plenty of tributes at Smash Hits Forever.
